Visit the restaurant

It is located around the entrance of Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, about a 5-minute walk from JR East Yurakucho Station. I arrived in front of the restaurant at 8:45, 15 minutes before opening time.

The entrance is inside the building and the shutters were still down at that time of the day, but there were about 10 customers waiting around the restaurant for the opening.
There was no line when we arrived, but 5 minutes before the store opened, a clerk came out and directed us where to line up.
There was a slight wait to enter the restaurant, but we were ushered inside in about 5 minutes.

This is the menu that was offered that day. Since there are so many, we will only introduce the menu written on the sign and seasonal drinks.

Actual meal

When I asked the waitress about the recommended menu, she told me, after much deliberation, that if I wanted to eat well, I could have a meat dish, croque-monsieur, or waffle. After much deliberation, I decided to try the following brunch menu and a seasonal drink.

  • Croque Madame: 1,970 yen
  • Watermelon lemonade: 990 yen

Detailed impressions are below.

  • Croque Madame

    • French bread → melted gruyere cheese and bacon → fried egg → cured ham → shaved cheese. Pickles as an accompaniment.
    • The combination of the salty flavor of the bacon/cured ham and the rich flavor of the fried egg/gliere cheese is very delicious 😋. Each ingredient is of a high level, but the combination of them makes the taste even higher.
    • Cut with a knife and eat with a fork. The French bread is soaked in cheese and is surprisingly easy to cut. I think it's great that they made it so easy to eat even with so many different ingredients on it.
    • However, it is different from the Croque-madame I know, which should not have been so luxurious and stylish. In other words, a Croque-madame with a magical makeover?
  • Watermelon Lemonade

    • As the name suggests, watermelon is added to lemonade. Surprisingly, it is easy to drink with low acidity and carbonation. The sweetness of the watermelon is pleasant and just right for this early summer season.

Comments

According to the official page, the style is to serve traditional French dishes on small plates. That was indeed the style of serving.

The restaurant has terrace seating, table seating, and counter seating, and the French style is evident in everything from the interior to the knick-knacks and ceiling. The croque monsieur I had this time was "Delicious! I can say with certainty that it was delicious. The price was also extraordinary at just under 3,000 yen. ・・・・・

If you get a bonus or win a stock, it would be good to come after lunch. They have a sommelier, so I thought it would be very enjoyable to have a meal like this on the terrace with the wine selected by the sommelier.

Note

According to the story, French people long for a situation where they can have breakfast with a croissant and a latte that their boyfriend bought for them.
It is true that this restaurant has both croissants and cafe lattes on the menu.

It would have been better to order a croissant and a latte and enjoy them elegantly on the terrace instead of croque-monsieur because I was hungry.
